 se iba a llamar coincidencias cromáticas pero suena a persona que dice serendipia o limerencia es un fanzine que nace de Instagram. La frecuencia de uso y la actualización del feed principal hizo que me fijase en que, en algunas ocasiones, las imágenes del post que me mostraba la pantalla, coincidían con el color de las historias. Guardo capturas de pantalla de estas casualidades de color desde hace varios años. Algunas asombrosas por la casualidad, otras más forzadas por mi parte. Cuando tenía más de 30 empecé a pensar en hacer el fanzine e hice una selección de las mejores, dejando 18 pantallas de Instagram.

Este fanzine habla de capacidad creativa y artística del ser humano frente a las máquinas y las inteligencias artificiales. Aunque el algoritmo de Instagram sea cada vez más preciso con mis gustos y me pueda conocerme mejor que nadie, nunca podría darse cuenta de que hay dos bolitas rojas que hacen match con el rojo de la foto subida en el post. Los fanzines son publicaciones artesanales o caseras en forma de revista, que buscan hablar sobre un tema en concreto, normalmente relacionado con el arte, la cultura, el cine, etc.

 A6 size (10.5×14.8cm) Digital offset Fedrigoni White offset paper & Glossy coated 52 pages se iba a llamar coincidencias cromáticas pero suena a persona que dice serendipia o limerencia (It was going to be called Chromatic Coincidences, but it sounds like someone who says “serendipity” or “limerence”) is a fanzine born in Instagram. The frequency of use and the constant updates to the main feed made me notice that, every now and then, the images shown on my screen matched the colour of the stories above them. I’ve been saving screenshots of these colour coincidences for several years. Some are astonishing by pure chance, others more intentionally curated by me. When I turned 30, I started thinking about making the fanzine and chose the best ones, ending up with 18 Instagram screens. This fanzine is about the creative and artistic ability of humans versus machines and artificial intelligence. Even if Instagram’s algorithm gets more and more accurate with my tastes and knows me better than anyone, it could never notice that two little red dots perfectly match the red in the photo of the post.
